Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
