I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
